Screenings Compactor

The Screenings Compactor is a unique solution for dewatering sludge from industrial solids screening equipment. This unit can take watery sludge from a treatment process and produce a cake as dry as 20% solids. By using the Sludge Compactor, equipment for thickening, storage, and conditioning are eliminated from the sludge management process.

System Overview

The Screenings Compactor comes in two models sized for 9 and 13GPM. Each unit comes with a collection hopper, conveying screw, perforated dewatering plate, and washing systems in the inlet and compaction zones to help reduce odors in the compacted solids.

Sludge processed in the Screenings Compactor will typically reach 20% dry solids and can often reach 45% dry, depending on the nature of the solids.
